Further to our recent updates we wanted to let everyone know how the running of Stevenage Haven’s two projects in Stevenage and Hitchin have been affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.

As per government advice and the discretion of management, we have completely closed both our sites to all non-essential staff or visitors;  essential donations are being accepted where storage permits but we would appreciate if you could ring the project first.  Our back-office staff are working from home and we have reduced the number of staff in the building to prevent any extra exposure to our residents to possible infection.

Our support workers are still working hard onsite, providing a 24/7 support, advice and entertainment to our residents who we have advised to stay inside during the lockdown as per Prime Minister, Boris Johnson’s advice. Our support workers are also still taking referrals so please get in touch if you would like some advice or you can access the referrals section on the website.

In accordance with the above guidelines, we  would like to continue to receive relevant donations in these trying times but we would also like to encourage monetary donations where possible. You can donate online through our Paypal or Virgin Money links below. We are currently working out a plan for a long term lockdown situation and being financially stable during those situations is key.

If you have any questions about how you can help, what we are doing or how referrals work, please visit our website or send us a message on Facebook. Please try to keep calls to our projects to a minimum, for emergency or referral advice only as our support worker numbers are reduced and therefore they are much busier than normal.

We would like to finally say a massive thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers, donators and friends who have been a massive support in these trying times and are what is keeping our amazing workers going!

Thank you!
